Blog ain’t dead (yet)

Tuesday, 5 June, 2007

Well, nothign uch happenned worthy of public posting lately, other than me getting a WACOM. Exams, work, still trying to get a life… :)

A bit of a head’s up though: I made two new pages: Quotes and Music. They’re not fully done, but I’ll get on them as time and mood permits. Check ‘em out.

I’m also thinking of getting some actual hosting to put this blog somewhere that allows embedding (of flash elements for instance). This also implies a domain name, which I’ve been squashing my brains over, trying to find something that is both me, original, not-too-corny, and available…

I feel sick…

Thursday, 10 May, 2007

And it’s not because I didn’t eat, or whatever I ate was bad.

I’ve always prized knowledge. If something interests me, I strive to find out as much as possible about it, up to the teeniest detail if I can. Ignorance is to me like darkness to most people… terrifying (metaphorically speaking). There is a degree worse than this though. It’s when I am unable to aprehend anything about my point of interest, even though it’s right in fucking-front of me. This rarely happens. In fact, there is only one case where it does happen with disturbing regularity. Unfortunately for me that is also my main purpose in life (yay for irony). It’s like a really stupid game where I have to find a red ball among a big batch of balls, all identical in any aspect save their colour, but to make the game interesting I’m almost (99%) blind. Sounds like jolly good fun eh?

What could this be that I’m speaking of, you may ask? Read the rest of this entry »

The sunrise was clouded

Friday, 4 May, 2007

Though lacking any significant subject to write on for a while now (though I hope for some activity soon), I thought I’d give my little blog some breath of life with a few of the photos I made in Bulgaria. One thing to mention is that I found I lacked the magic power of a tripod, so it’s now second on my acquisition list, after the graphic tablet. Maybe June or July… Guess I’ll start bugging Mihnea again to help me with me with advice.

Another thing that ticked me off was that when I managed to stay up all night to catch the sunrise (I specifically wanted to catch some sunrise shots) the sky was clouded and heavy, so all I got was a thin, red line far into the horizon.

Anyway, here are some shots. The whole album (about 200 photos) can be seen here. Read the rest of this entry »

Testing music

Friday, 20 April, 2007

Ok so I’m trying to make it so you can listen to some cool songs on my blog (I often find that some songs express the way I feel much better than I coudl ever write). The song thingy should follow.

Max Graham – I Know you’re gone

Edit: OK so the supposed-plug-in didn’t work, I have a feeling WP doesn’t allow flash embedding. At least you can follow the link to the file and listen to it there…

Edit 2:OK I made another try, on another WordPress site, except this one isnt on the WordPress server, and it works. So I guess there had to be something I’d miss on this free server… X( Now I gotta start hunting for a server…

Stop, look up, think… and live

Wednesday, 28 March, 2007

Time has come to update the blog, lest it fall in the dark pits of internet anonimity… And just after getting over 1000 visits, it’d be such a shame.

But I can’t just write here anything that crosses my mind (it’d be too stupid, like most other blogs out there).

Anyway, today as I was hurrying to work I had one of those moments-of-revelation you hear about. I was on the street, power-walking as I usually do when late, when something Read the rest of this entry »

An ass deserves to be kissed

Thursday, 15 March, 2007

OK, after spending some time getting the hang of this here little blog, I grabbed the bull by the horns and installed WordPress on a server for that summer-school project I love so much. What struck me is how mind-blowing easy it really was. I have next-to-no clue about php or MySQL, but Read the rest of this entry »

20 minutes to break into my own home…

Tuesday, 13 March, 2007

Weeelll… It’s been a while since I’ve last posted (10 days, geez) and visit count’s showing it. In some way what happenned tonight might be a blessing in disguise to save what’s left of this blog. But it sure didn’t seem like that to me earlier this evening.

I had one of those hectic days. Wake up, go to the palace (see the royal blog for what we were up to), then go to work (yes, the business I’ve gotten my weirdo ass into is getting of the ground and there’ll be an official opening of the store this saturday – more blog material, huzzah!), come home, nibble some food, go to the VIP office to send some important e-mails because my local ISP decided to choke to take out our connection for a walk in the park, then fortune graced me and I went to a pizza with a very lovely friend of mine (went to Pizza Hut – nice atmosphere, crappy menu). I was starting to think this was one good evening when I had the luck to catch the last bus home too (technically it caught me as I was walking home, but hey).

But then I got home… Read the rest of this entry »

My memory sucks and my timing blows – perfectly special evening ruined

Friday, 2 March, 2007

More crap in my life means new post on the blog. YAY!
This time however it’s gonna be one of those “Don’t do what I did” posts. BOO!

This evening was supposed to be spent in a visit along with some of my VIP colleagues (see this post for details on what VIP is) at the Elisabeta Palace. Though this name may take you all to thoughts of Louvre and Buckingham, just like mostly everything else here in Romania it’s a smaller, dirtier version. At least on the outside. The palace is the Bucharest residence of the Romanian royal family, and it is where we go to talk with one of its members, Prince Radu.

Well, unfortunately today wasn’t my lucky day. Read the rest of this entry »

I had a dream…

Wednesday, 28 February, 2007

I’ve spent the better part of the morning wondering if I should blog this. I’m still not sure right now, writing in notepad, looking at the clock as I have to leave home again in half an hour.

I had a dream sometime this morning. Read the rest of this entry »

Life – [virtual] reality ?

Sunday, 25 February, 2007

Well, I just saw eXistenZ. Having a history of intensive gaming during general/high-school, it left more spooked than all Saw and Cube movies put together (and then some). Then of course I drifted to something else. Another theory brewing up in my unstable mind.
